Technical Notes - Requirements
There are two major areas of technical requirements that schools need to address. First is connectivity to the Internet and the capacity (or management of the capacity) of the local network. Second is the capacity of computers that may be used to administer the test -- these are called client computers. Client computers supported by the technology used to deliver the test can have fairly diverse system specifications. However, technical specifications in common that provide for greater success in using NCDesk are a sufficient amount of RAM, a CPU of good clock speed and recent vintage, and a minimum amount of available drive space. Client workstations operating systems currently supported include Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh OSX. The minimum specifications to operate NCDesk successfully on these separate OSes is detailed on pages linked below.
